Can Patients with CKD3 and Dietbetes Eat Brown Rice

Question: I am a CKD patient at stage 3. I also have diabetes for past 15 years. Can I eat brown rice?
Answer: Yes, you can eat brown rice. It does not excert side effect on kidney and blood sugar. The reasons are as follows.
1. Rice bran and germ of brown rice are rich in vitamin B and vitamin E which can improve human immunity, promote blood circulation and help people eliminate depression irritable mood.

2. Brown rice carbohydrate is wrapped by thick fibrous tissue. It is digested and absorbed slowly, which is good for patients with diabtetes.
