Caution: Avoid Infection in Autumn and Winter

Kidney disease often occur in autumn and winter because of the drop of temperature and sudden change of climate in that period of time. Why this phenomenon happens?
According to a research , 70%-80% patients’ illness is caused by infection. Some common infections occur in throat, tonsil, lungs, intestine, urinary system and skin. Though those parts seem far from kidney, but they share a common blood circulation system. The inflammatory cells would arrive in kidney with blood flow to damage kidney. At the same time , the level of urea nitrogen and serum creatinine would increase. The patients would suffer nausea, vomiting, fatigue, increasing protein in urine and other clinical symptoms. So to prevent infections is the compulsory course to the kidney disease patients.

In autumn and winter, the air begins turning dry and the temperature drops at the beginning of autumn. The temperature difference between day and night becomes obvious. And kidney disease patients’ immunity is weak, so their throat, tonsil and lungs are most vulnerable to inflammatory cells. For senior citizens, the situation is more severe because of their poor adaptability and tolerance for the sudden change of climate.

Besides keeping warm, the patients should also take part in some physical exercise. If the patients want to do the exercise in the morning , they should choose do indoors due to the large temperature difference between day and night. If they really want to do exercise outdoors, they should put on mask to avoid the cold air enter their lungs directly. The patients need to pay much attention to oral hygiene. Once they feel uncomfortable feeling on throat or swelling on tonsil they can use some external medicine on the inflammatory area.
The patients should not crowded places where the air is poorly ventilated. They should ventilate their rooms regularly everyday. When the flu break out, they can use burning Artemisia vulgaris and steamed vinegar to kill bacteria in the air. They should keep their skin clean. Excitant Soap and facial cleanser are not suitable for patients. People who suffer skin itching should trim their nails. When itching occur, they should scratch the skin to avoid inflammation. And soft cotton underwear is prefect option for patients.

As far as diet is concerned the patient should choose food which is rich in protein and low in fat. They ‘s better eat more fruit and vegetable which contain rich vitamin and minerals.
They should avoid eating cold, raw or unsanitary food to avoid intestinal inflammation
Once the inflammation break out m the patients should go to see doctor as soon as possible.  The doctor would offer them some useful advice to prevent their disease get worse.
