Tips to Keep Your Kidney Healthy

Kidney is a important organ for human being. It is very important to know how to keep kidney healthy. Following are six tips:
1 Avoid being crapulent:  
Eating and drinking too much do harm to human’s health. The kidney disease patients should pay more attention to their diet. Much protein and salt in food would increase the burden of kidney. So the nepropathy patients should not drink sports beverage because it is rich in electrolyte and salt.
2 Avoid drinking water from unknown origil:  
The composition of water from unknown origin(e.g. wells or rivers) is unknown. There would be some heavy metal in the water such as lead, cadmium, chromium and so on. Those heavy metal is very harmful to human body.  
3 Avoid holding urine:  
Once the urine deposit in bladder, vast amount of bacteria would generate. Then the bacteria would come along ureter to the kidney.  It will result in the inflammation of kidney.
4 Avoid abusing medicine:  
Every medicine has its side effect. Many kinds of cold cure, Chinese herb and painkiller holds small content of toxin which is harmful for kidney. So the patients have to follow doctors’ direction to take medicine. What’ more, the patients should know the side effect of prescription medicine(e.g. Antibiotic or painkiller)
5 Taking periodic medical check:
Through periodic medical check, the patient can achieve early detection and treatment. The patients had better do examination to check urine, blood creatinine and urea nitrogen. The burden of kidney would increase then female get pregnancy, so they should do medical test regularly to avoid the transition from pre-eclampsia to uremia.
6 Taking timely treatment:
If one gets cold and accompanies with the symptom of hypertension, edema and  foam in urine, he or she should go to see a doctor to make a screening. The tonsillitis should arise patients’ attention. Once the the throat or tonsil is inflamed by streptococcus, it much be cured throughly  as soon as possible. Because the inflammation would lead to nephritis.
Also the urinary tract stones should be cured timely though the patients may not feel pain. What’s more, the ureteral calculus would cause hydronephrosis. And if hydronephrosis is not cured timely, the renal function would totally damage without any symptom.
Hypertension and diabetes would cause hardening of the arteries and consequently damage the kidney. So patients should make great effort to control their blood pressure and blood glucose.
