Air pollution lead to kidney disease,is that true?

The results show that after taking into account factors such as age, region, can lead to membranous nephropathy incidence increased 13% per year on average, other kidney disease risk basically remain unchanged.At the same time, in the area with high concentrations of PM2.5 levels of pollution in the air, membranous nephropathy incidence is much higher compared with other low pollution area.

Membranous nephropathy is also called the membranous glomerulonephritis, a kind of kidney disease which is mainly showed of proteinuria.It’s easy to relapse, patients with it need to be prepared for a long-term treatment.

In our daily life, after been polluted, air, food, drinks, etc., can destroy the body's antioxidant system, and human body’s ability to eliminate oxygen free radical is weakened.The accumulation of a large number of oxygen free radicals in the body, forming a large number of blood poison, cause all kinds of kidney inflammation.

In order to avoid the kidney damage caused by the environmental pollution, when we go out at the condition of serious air pollution, can take the following measures:

1. Wearing a mask if must go out, should choose professional dust mask.

2. To avoid going out cycling,choose transportation such as bus, taxi, to reduce dust suction.

3. Avoid smoking at the time of air pollution is serious, the harm of smoking to human body is twice as large as usual.

4. Pay attention to clean up after getting back home, need to wash a face, rinse teeth, clean up the debris in the nasal cavity, etc.

5. Nephritis patients try to avoid going out, improper care may lead to respiratory infections, can aggravate the deterioration of illness.
