People with kidney failure need to do those tests

We all know that there are two kidneys in our body, while one kidney can maintain our body’s work normally. So in the early stage of kidney failure, no symptoms to warn patients that kidney has problem.  This is why the urine test and blood test is so important. So what else test should kidney failure patients do ?

1, regular blood test

Obvious anemia is commonly cell anemia, white cells number is normal or increasing. Blood plate reduces, cell’s sedimentation rate increase.

2, regular urine test

The results will be different with different primary disease. The common points is 1, urine osmotic pressure reduces, mostly under 450mosm/kg, net weight is low,mostly under 1.018, when it is serious, the number mostly fixed between in 1.010-1.012. When do the urea concentration dilution test, night urine volume is more than day urine volume, the highest and the lowest urine specific gravity is more than 1.020, urine gravity difference between highest and lowest is less than 0.008.

2, urine volume decreasing, mostly be less than 1000ml everyday;

3,urine protein quantitation increases, most parts of glomerular has been damaged in the end stage, while urine protein decreases.

4, Urine Sediment Examination, which can have some kinds of red cells, white cells, epithelial cells and granular casts, waxy cast.

All indexes decrease

4, blood bio-chemistry checking

Albumin decreases in plasma, blood calcium reduces, blood phosphorus increases, blood potassium and blood sodium changes according to illness condition.

5, other tests

Urinary tract by X-ray plain film and angiography, isotope renography, kidney scan, kidney puncture biopsy, is good to diagnose causes.
